Zandvlei Trust

Village Heights Community Centre -  27 April 2016.

This is a working relationship with Village Heights Community Centre
CTEET, Projects Abroad
and Zandvlei Trust.

Bernie, Edward and Veronica took 23 children and young adults up Lions Head today. A hike they have all been planning and discussing for some months. CTEET and Projects Abroad - Peter Slowe paid for the taxi transport and food afterwards. Zandvlei Trust helped Berny organise and co-ordinate the arrangements.

"People going up and people coming down, it is almost as bad as the traffic on the roads
around Cape Town these days."

Berny says she is finished and happy to be down again. A lot tougher than she remembered
from the last time. "The trees are a lot taller you know !".

All of us together at the start / end point. This was a lot of fun but It was getting cold with the
approaching cold front moving in.

The taxis stopped on the way back for fish and chips for which we thank Peter Slowe who paid
for our supper. We passed him going up Lions Head earlier this morning.
Back at home we put out the tables in the courtyard and all sat down to supper together
to eat and discuss the days event.

This is a day to remember.
