Wishart reports; There were reports from Kirstenhof and the Marina
on Friday 05/09/2014 that the WLT were calling again. On Saturday night
06/09/2014 we moved 15 toads
including 2 amplectant couples in
Kirstenhof.
05/08/2014 - Susan Wishart reports; It seems that the breeding season has begun in earnest for the WLTs! Movement in Kirstenhof and Lakeside and calling in the Marina.
A special plea to everyone to moderate their speed when driving and keep a careful eye out for toads crossing the roads.
Main Road in Lakeside is a special concern for toads crossing to the Westlake Wetlands. We already have 4 road kill in the KirMiTS area – 2 in Lakeside, 1 on Oranje and 1 on Valentino.
Please help by spreading the word to all friends, colleagues and family.

Kirstenhof. Hopefully it will survive.
03/08/2014 - Sharon McCallum reports; We had a night of toad snoring – just about all night! Wonderful to hear! To know they are here! This was in a Marina channel near Park Island.
02/08/2014 - Barry Parker reports; At the month hack we heard 2 WLT males "snoring away" in a waterbody next to the railway line at about 3pm.

19/06/2014 - Susan Wishart reports; here is an invite from the ToadNUTS for a fundraiser for 26 June next week at Monkey Valley. Their drift fence on Noordhoek Main Road worked fantastically last year and they would like to get a second one for this season. Please support if you can and help spread the word.
