10/06/2013 - The Invasive Species Unit of the City of Cape Town has appointed
Andile Zepe and Sicelo Macaula to the Westlake Wetlands on a 3 month contract under the Kader Asmal programme. 
They will be trained on terrestrial invasive species removal during the Leopard Toad season.
This is a community working together, PenBev will fund some of the requirement for equipment storage and use via the Zandvlei Trust and John and Sandra Fowkes storing the equipment for the daily use.

13/05/2013 - There is a new fence up along the southern boundary of Grysbok Park. This will prevent papers plastic bags and other litter being blown into the Reserve from the Flea Market which operates on the weekends.
Also a number of shrubs were removed near the pathway edge for public safety in Grysbok Park
and chipped onto the pathway to prevent the soil erosion.

The pathway verge has been cleared and chipped. The chippings have been spread onto
the pathway to stop the soil erosion.

The Muizenberg flea market operates on the otherside of Royal Road most weekends.
The fence will also prevent cars being parked in the Reserve.

29/04/2013 - The new garden taking shape outside the office block.
