  • It is critical that we reach the children who will carry on the work in the future.

Levana Primary School has also received sponsorship from Zandvlei Trust to travel to the EEC at the Zandvlei Nature Reserve for after school lessons.

Zandvlei Trust has sponsored the services of Neville Wiliams from Capricorn Park library  to escort the Zerilda Primary School children to the Zandvlei Nature Reserve and on outings. Teacher Maggie Sauls is recouperating from an operation and is not mobile enough yet.

Steenberg Primary School has received sponsorship for transport to the Zandvlei Nature Reserve.

Donations of secondhand and various new items are needed for the Centre - paper, poster paints, crayons, paint brushes, paper scissors, poster board, nature magazines and books etc.

4.   West Coast field Studies Centre - Paarden Eiland

A memorial service was held at the DRC Hall, Bower Street, Brooklyn 
on Thursday, 18 October 2012 at 14h00, to pay tribute to the late Frank Wygold.

We remember Frank fondly for his love and passion for Natural History,
which he taught children and adults at his West Coast Field Studies Centre.
Behind Frank is Klein Zoar a historical house at Zoarvlei, which is part of the 
Paarden Eiland Wetlands. Frank died in the spring of 2012.
