 In and around the Reserve - 2015.

14/03/2015 - The conditions were indeed perfect to burn some blocks in the Reserve on 13/04/2015. We burned the two blocks around the Sand River Bird Hide. It was a complex burn involving over 70 people participating reports Josh Gericke.  We cleared the burn site of tortoises, snakes and chameleons, and chased out grysbokkies and porcupines in the early morning before the burn, so there were no casualties of the fire. This morning the burn site was already full of lapwings and spoor of other critters that investigated through the night.
