We are extremely fortunate to have many naturalists in our community, a number of whom have undertaken research on the Zandvlei environment from under- to post-graduate level. We are further blessed to have forged relationships with some of these individuals who in turn have fed their expertise and knowledge back into Trust activities and events including our Spring Festival talks programmes.
While working on rehabilitating our Westlake Garden, we have run plant identification days using various smart-phone applications such as iNature. The Trust has recently (as of 2024) partnered with LEMU international web-based scientific and conservation funding project.
